Congratulations, Aartee Patil!

helsa Icon India opens a new factory building in Hyderabad, India

On 21 June we celebrated the opening of a new, highly modern and light-flooded production building together with Aartee Patil (CEO helsa Icon India) and her team in the capital city (pop. 7,000,000) of the Indian State of Telangana. An appealing combination of glass, stone and wood dominates the exterior of this impressive building that radiates the spirit of innovation.

Full of pride, decorated with flower garlands and dressed for the occasion, Aartee Patil and Sandeep Prasad (GM of the helsa joint venture) together with their team members presented the public the result of the work completed over the past weeks and months.

It was a special honour to have K. T. Rama Rao, Minister in IT, Industry and Urban Development, in attendance. Numerous representatives of the press listened intently to his speech after the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Monika Sandler, owner of the helsa Group, recalled in her address how it was six years ago when helsa Icon India was first founded. She praised Aartee Patil for her commitment and dedication, her good instinct with regard to customers and markets, and for playing such a large part in the success of the company. helsa is a well-known and respected brand in India’s textile industry.

The many invited guests, including Stephan Frerk, CEO helsa Fashion Shaping, celebrated this important milestone in the six-year history of helsa Icon India with colourful festivities. The premises were dedicated the day before the celebration as part of a traditional Hindu ceremony.

This was followed by a guided tour of the well-lit production areas of the single-storey building and visitors were able to see the shoulder pad production line at various points.

Congratulations to Aartee on this huge step for helsa Icon India!

Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company, once said:

“Coming together is beginning,
staying together is progress,
working together is success.”

The joint venture between helsa and helsa Icon India,” said Aartee Patil, “is the perfect example of this: It is built on a very solid foundation. It is a pleasure to be a part of this fantastic group.”
