More than 60 years ago (in 1947) Helmut Sandler started the production of shoulder pads with „Grandma’s Sewing Machine“. Today helsa® Group International is a globally operating company with a worldwide structure.
A large-scale production of clothing accessories has developped within a very short period of time starting from these modest beginnings. Different manufacturing plants have arisen - first within Germany then worldwide. The company has started in Gefrees / Germany in 1952 – today’s company headquarters.
The product range has been extended decisively in the 1980ies, technological articles as filter media and diaphragms have been developped and brought to the market – they are in each case individual niche solutions for high-tech markets. Today helsa Group employs worldwide about 900 employees.
